Niwaki Rattan Secateurs

Secateurs that feel like an object of beauty before they feel like a tool. Forged from S58C carbon steel — a premium, hardwearing steel that holds its edge beautifully and sharpens easily — and wrapped in wisteria rattan for a grip that feels as good as it looks. The design combines the best of traditional Japanese secateurs, giving perfect balance and ergonomics for long use in the garden.

Presented in a beautiful paulownia wood kiribako box. 

Made by Yamakawa-san in Sanjo, Japan — who has been making secateurs since the day he left school, and whose factory is home to five stray cats, each fed on fresh sashimi.
